UK Manufacturing Journey

Since moving to the UK in 2022, I have focused on expanding and applying my multidisciplinary skills within the UK manufacturing and engineering sector. I combine more than 7 years of leadership experience in IT management with over 2 years of hands-on CNC machining practice, working with high-precision components for aerospace, defence, and marine industries.

Key Responsibilities

• Setting up, calibrating, and fine-tuning CNC sliding head lathes (7-9 axis Swiss-type turning centres) to micron-level accuracy
• Adjusting tool offsets, feeds, and speeds to achieve tolerances within +/- 2 microns
• Performing first-off inspections, refining CNC programs, and ensuring stable and repeatable production runs
• Driving continuous improvement of setup efficiency, tooling life, and quality consistency through structured problem-solving and precision discipline
• Collaborating closely with engineers and quality teams to implement process optimisations and reduce scrap to near zero
